I am a cinematographer with 20 years' experience. Features I’ve shot include The Little Mermaid with Academy Award winner Shirley MacLaine, supernatural thriller Heretiks with Michael Ironside, and the multi-award-winning road movie Above the Clouds. I have photographed another half–dozen independent feature films, and innumerable shorts, for which I have been awarded Best Cinematography at the New York Cinematography Awards, Play Short International Awards, Enginious Film Awards and Festigious International Film Festival. I was also nominated for six Best Cinematography awards for my work on the action/adventure series Ren: The Girl with the Mark.

Second only to my love of cinematography is my passion for sharing my knowledge of it. I have given workshops and lectures to audiences of all kinds, from students to professionals, for such organisations as the British Film Institute and the Institute of Amateur Cinematographers. I write for British Cinematographer, the official magazine of the BSC, as well as RedShark News and my own blog. I also post a lighting breakdown every Friday on my highly popular Instagram feed.
