This course is tailored for individuals employed in venues seeking to enhance their understanding of emergency planning and improve their proficiency in this field. While it is primarily designed for entertainment venues and public assembly places, the knowledge imparted in this course is equally applicable to individuals with planning responsibilities in various other facility types.
Suite of Emergency Management Courses
Our suite of emergency management courses consists of three levels of planning: emergency planning, leading (Why Leadership is Important: The Key to Emergency Management), and participating (Emergency Management: What You Need to Know and Why) in emergency situations.
Course Structure
This course is divided into six sections:
- Introduction: Explaining the course's significance
- Middle Sections: Covering potential emergencies for venues, presenting various likely scenarios in entertainment venues and providing essential information for chief wardens to effectively plan and prepare for emergencies.
- Last Section: Including a farewell and the assessment.
In Section Three, we delve into the emergency control organization - terminology may vary, but this part of the organization is responsible for responding to emergencies. Understanding its functioning is crucial for grasping your role and responsibilities during an emergency.
Section Four guides us through the essential considerations for our emergency response procedures, serving as a starting point for addressing any existing gaps in these protocols within your organization.
The final segment of the training focuses on enhancing your skills as a chief warden and identifying individuals suited for this role. It covers leadership, effective communication during emergencies, maintaining composure under pressure, improving situational awareness safety, and provides practical decision-making exercises for emergency scenarios.
