Course Level: Intermediate

The course begins with a brief revision of frequently used commands, followed by a clear comparison between the bottom-up and top-down design approaches. It also highlights why Fusion 360 is superior to other 3D CAD software.

If you are a complete beginner to Fusion 360, this course may not be suitable for you. It assumes some fundamental knowledge of 2D sketching and 3D modeling. This is an intermediate-level course.

Prerequisite Commands

Frequently used sketching commands include Circle, Rectangle, Arc, Polygon, and Slot. The Project command is used to project bodies and components onto existing sketches. 3D modeling tools such as Extrude, Revolve, Shell, Fillet, and Combine are also frequently used. The Construct toolbar is used for creating axes and planes, while the Inspect toolbar is used for measuring and toggling component color cycles.
