A student of this course would benefit by having a little bit of existing Linux experience, as some concepts are glossed over (I wouldn't call that a fault of the course: it helps keep the material moving and focused, and there is enough of a Linux crash course included, throughout, to give the student a foundation to jump off of and fill in blanks on their own time).
